    What's not to like. For breakfast we ordered Chicken Fried Steak, Spanish Omelet, and a light fluffy Pancake. Mine was the CFS, it was wonderful. A subtle seared flavor combined with the light flavor of country gravy made my tastebuds do there happy dance. Add the homemade sour dough bread and raspberry jam and great service by Jackie made our meal memorable

    Pretty good home style good. Cheeseburger soup over mashed potatoes. Excellent.
    Fried pickles are the "best" my hubby has ever had.
    Chili Mac with jalapeños was good was basic. I think they used canned chili and a box of macaroni and cheese
    Server was Chantel. She was great.
    Atmosphere was diner feel.
    Restrooms were clean

    Worst customer service! Restaurant wasn't full with plenty of seats and they would seat us. Told to wait in the back in an empty dark room. Talk to the lady in charge and she yelled at us to tell us to go back. We left and went to 78 main dining less than a block away with a great atmosphere and amazing service.

    My friend and I took our kids to Lava and this restaurant was a highlight of our two day trip.  What a great spot for breakfast!  If you're looking for a quaint little hometown dive, this is it!  Excellent breakfast, fresh fruit, homeade jams, Italian sodas, fresh juice, the works!  Great service, too. Enjoy.

    We love the Chuck wagon! If you get there early enough you can do their breakfast buffet, which is really yummy. Otherwise, we love their skillets, design your own breakfast sandwiches, German pancakes, scones and kids meals. We love their options of syrups and jams. This place is busy but usually the constant best in lava hot springs.
